is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2003 and committed to supporting the Moosehorn NWR.
Mission
To promote the use, understanding, knowledge, growth, development, operation, and management of the Moosehorn NWR and the refuge system of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.

The popular fathers' day weekend Kids Fishing Derby with Veterans, Frost Fair - A Family Winter Fun Day, and the Ghost Run are just a few of our annual activities.

Led by Maine Master Naturalists we co-host monthly nature walks, bird walks and more!
Management Activites

From time to time we support Refuge staff with management activities such as trail maintenance, invasive species management and wildlife monitoring.

Swing by the Refuge in the warm months, and be greeted by Friends volunteers with information, maps, and oddities! Open most weekends throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall, FOM is pleased to help staff the VIC.
