Welcome

The Friends of the Moosehorn organize various activities to introduce and welcome people to the refuge, such as a kids Fishing Derby and a Wildlife Refuge Week Open Day. We assist the Refuge staff with activities such as visitor management, educational programs for schools, and trail maintenance. And we work with others to lead Bird Walks, Fall foliage tours and the like.

If you would like to learn more about the Refuge and help us promote and protect it so that future generations can continue to enjoy the same wild Maine that we all love, please join us as we reactivate this organization to support the Moosehorn. Come and participate in our programs and activities, learn about the refuge and become a volunteer greeting visitors, leading activities, helping out at events, or show your support by becoming a member.

The Refuge is Open
