November 19 - Sipp Bay and Gleason Cove Field Trip
Woody Gillies will lead a field trip to beautiful Sipp Bay Preserve, a MCHT property. We will be scanning the waters surrounding the peninsula for wintering sea ducks such as mergansers, scoters, buffleheads, goldeneyes and loons. Bald eagles nest nearby and are often seen. The trip will involve some short easy walking and several spotting scopes will be available to view the ducks out in the bay. Time permitting some of us may go to Gleason Cove after we are finished at Sipp Bay to scan Gleason Cove for sea duck species missed at Sipp Bay. We will meet at 8 AM rain or shine at the Sipp Bay Preserve Parking Lot at the end of Burby Rd. in Perry. For more information, contact Woody Gillies at 726-5570, or email cwgillies@gmail.com.
