About the Friends of Moosehorn
The friends are an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2003 and committed to supporting the Moosehorn NWR.
What we do

Advocate for continued support to the Refuge through outreach at local events.

Assist in organizing or leading events and programs such as a children’s fishing derby, spring birding festival, seasonal family days, guided walks, fall foliage tours, and photographic competitions.

Help with management activities such as wildlife monitoring and trail maintenance.

Develop and produce interpretive materials such as guides to the best birding, hiking, fishing.

To promote the use, understanding, knowledge, growth, development, operation, and management of the Moosehorn NWR and the refuge system of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
